ENDORSEMENTS FOR THE

"HEARTS OF FAITH" CD PROJECT.

"Christians in Maluku have suffered terribly for their faith. Their songs have come directly out of the fire of persecution. I warmly commend this CD, which will both break your heart and inspire you to worship. Through their songs we can share in the sorrows and suffering of our brothers and sisters in Maluku who have lost everything for the sake of Christ."

Christians in the Malukus have 'had to suffer grief in all kinds of trials' to use the apostle Peter's phrase. They have been killed and their homes and churches burnt to the ground, by those who seek to eradicate Christianity completely from these Indonesian islands. But our brothers and sisters who have gone through this suffering have produced a harvest of beautiful songs to the Lord. Truly their trials have refined their faith and proved it genuine, as Peter said (1 Peter 1:6-7). Our faith also can be strengthened as we listen to their music.

DR PATRICK SOOKHDEO

Director, Barnabas Fund, UK.

Few have experienced the intensity of relentless persecution yet Christians in Maluku cling to the promise of victory in Christ. Join me in celebrating with them as they glorify our Lord through inspired songs of praise.

Having personally been involved in the lives of the suffering Christians of Indonesia, I have found 'Hearts of Faith' to be a gripping and accurate portrayal of the suffering, courage and hope of these precious believers. Once their voices are heard and their faces seen, they can never be forgotten.

REV. STEVEN L. SNYDER

You may not understand Indonesian, but the translation makes explicit what already is so clear in the spirit of the music: These people who have suffered so horribly ask only to understand, and that Christ would reveal His power through forgiveness and reconciliation. There's not a hint of retribution in the whole lot. We may pity them, but they are our mentors.

JOHN LINDNER,

Vice President, Christian Aid Mission (USA)

This collection of songs are deeply moving and significant because they come from the heart of those who have suffered greatly under the hand of persecution. You will be blessed by the expressions of faith and hope that the songs express and at the same time will be supporting the future work of rebuilding the lives of those who have lost homes and loved ones to violence and terrorism.

BRIAN PICKERING

National Coordinator of Australian Prayer Network

This music is an amazing story of faith. You are going to hear how the persecuted church express their faith in Christ in the midst of suffering and their hopes and vision for the future. This is a tremendous recording. The people who have sung this have sung from their hearts and they have sung from the pain of suffering but they also have the joy of the knowledge of Jesus Christ.

DR JEFF HAMMOND

Indonesian Director for IFC, Senior Elder at Abbalove Ministries in Jakarta.

It has been my privilege to encourage the writing and production of praise and worship for over 30 years and in more recent years the development of indigenous expressions of prayer and praise. Songs born in the culture of ones origin, out of personal experience, with an honest and heartfelt response to the love and faithfulness of God in the midst of suffering have been of particular inspiration to me. I commend this recording to you hoping that you too will be inspired.

DAVID GARRATT

Co-Founder of Scripture in Song Recordings

Anyone who has had the opportunity to visit the beautiful, exotically named, Spice Islands of Indonesia, and the nearby region of Sulawesi, will see how man has turned God's paradise into human hell. Previously harmonious Christian, Muslim and Hindu communities have now been torn apart by war. Places of worship, homes and land are blackened ruins. While all communities have suffered, these scenes portray the anguish of Christians who are suffering persecution. But through the anguish, the pain, the loss and the suffering of many kinds comes a radiant faith and an indomitable spirit of praise to our heavenly Father.

Please pray that soon they, and all the people of Indonesia, may be able to live in peace, freedom, safety and joy in their beautiful land.

LADY CAROLINE COX

The Baroness Cox, Deputy Speaker of the House of Lords UK, and President of Christian Solidarity Worldwide, UK

As I sat amongst precious Indonesian believers recently who had faced tragedy and suffering, I was moved to tears. Here were my brothers and sisters in Jesus. They had come through fiery trials. They had met evil and persecution face on. Yet their faith shone with the glory of God as they sang. As you listen to these songs on "Hearts of Faith" from other believers who have faced similar persecution, you too will hear their cry and be moved to prayer and action.

BOB GUY

Director, Open Doors Australia

The Bible says, that our faith overcomes the world. These songs are written by overcomers. They have not allowed pain, suffering, persecution and hardship to overwhelm them but are reaching out to God and discovering His power at work in their lives. Join with us in standing with them in these days,
