What We Are Doing In Manado we are providing a delivery of fresh vegetables to each of the refugee centres each week, ensuring fresh water through drilling of wells and water pumps, providing reading glasses, clothes, medical supplies, and canvas for cover In addition to this 'emergency relief' we are: enabling purchase of equipment for beginnings of small business, buying land and providing materials for homes to enable the resettlement of refugees out of crowded refugee centres supporting a team of people from Jakarta who minister among the refugees as 'missionaries', day in day out. They moved from Jakarta to Manado in order to do this. financing the rescue of Christians within Maluku who have been trapped by the jihad. Those that are rescued are provided with a new home in a safe area as well as food and supplies for 6 months. we also send in short term mission teams to minister among the refugees. Since December 2000 our organization has raised over $300 000 in financial support from generous Australians, provided fortnightly email updates, and drawn attention to the issues before churches, media and political leaders.
